The conventional narrative is Monday's unnamed tanker off Ash Shishah, or the mines-versus-sweep talks. Thursday's official product is a second warning. It names Khasab. It does not name the hull.

UKMTO issued Warning 121-26, labeled ATTACK, on 27 August 2026. Report date 25 August 2026. Report time 1730UTC. Source: Local Authorities. This is not Warning 120-26. It is not the Oman-Iran corridor page.
The product: "UKMTO has received a report of an incident in the Strait of Hormuz. Local authorities have reported a tanker has been hit by an unknown projectile causing fire to the vessel which has since been extinguished. All crew are reported as safe and accounted for and there has been no report of environmental impact. Authorities are investigating. Vessels are advised to transit with caution and report any suspicious activity to UKMTO."
The map on the notice is labeled Khasab, Oman.
That is the official text. The hull is not on it. Who fired is not on it.
CNBC on 27 August carried a Thursday UKMTO post: an oil tanker struck by an unidentified projectile, incident reported Tuesday, off the Omani coast, fire extinguished, crew safe. That is the same product. CNBC did not name the hull.
Monday's warning, already on this site, is 120-26: 9 nautical miles northeast of Ash Shishah, engine-room damage, vessel disabled, source Master. This Thursday product is a later issue date, a later report time, a fire that was put out, and a Khasab label. It is not a reprint of that page.

Warning frame. Khasab. Fire out. Crew safe. That is the official product.
Unnamed-hull frame. Tanker, no name. That is what the warning left blank.
Second-hit frame. A Thursday issue after Monday's Ash Shishah warning. Two products. Two pages.
Attribution frame. UKMTO assigned no blame.
Those jobs are not the same story. The warning frame can be checked against the PDF. The hull and the shooter cannot.

Inference, labeled as such: a second unattributed projectile on the Omani side is consistent with a waterway that is still being hit. It is not proof of who fired, and it is not a named hull. It is not a signed corridor, and it is not a volume count.

If the warning frame is right, the next checkable fact is a hull name, or a second UKMTO product on the same ship. If the unnamed-hull frame is right, the next Lloyd's or USNI print either matches a hull already on this site or it names a new one. If the attribution frame is right, someone claims it, or UKMTO assigns blame. We do not have that product.
## What remains unresolved
